Why hardworking hands get so dry
Frequent washing, sanitizer, heat, cold, and rough materials all wear down the skin's natural moisture. Over time, hands can feel tight, rough, and uncomfortable.
beabutter started this way. Our founder made it for her late husband Ric, a firefighter whose skin had been through more than most after a 2002 structure fire.
A simple daily routine
Wash with lukewarm water, not hot. Pat dry instead of rubbing. Moisturize within a minute while skin is still slightly damp. Keep a jar where you wash your hands so reapplying becomes a habit.
An overnight reset
Before bed, warm a little more butter than usual and work it into your hands, knuckles, and cuticles. Thin cotton gloves help it stay in place overnight. In the morning, skin often feels noticeably softer.
When to see a professional
If your skin cracks, bleeds, or stays painful, talk with a doctor or dermatologist. A moisturizer gives comfort, but it is not a replacement for medical care.
beabutter is a cosmetic skin-care product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a skin condition, talk with your healthcare provider before use.
